Jamie K. Stewart grew up in Southeastern Kentucky and attended Georgetown College graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies. Upon graduation, Jamie attended Salmon P. Chase college of Law, where she served as the vice president of the Student Bar Association, secretary of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, chairperson of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and as an instructor for the Street Law Program, working with at risk youth. Jamie received her Juris Doctorate with pro bono distinction in 2010 and was admitted to the practice of law that same year.
From 2011 to 2014, Jamie served as a staff attorney for the 14th Division Family Court covering Scott, Woodford, and Bourbon counties. Before founding Stewart Family Law in June of 2022, Jamie practiced for 8 years at the Lexington law firm of Oeltgen & D’Ambruoso (now Oeltgen & Yavelak) focusing exclusively on issues related to family law.
Jamie concentrates her practice primarily on divorce, custody, timesharing, child support, domestic violence, and adoptions. Jamie is a member of the America Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association and the Fayette Bar Association where she previously served as Co-Chair of the Fayette County Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Jamie is also licensed to practice in the U.S. Federal Courts for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
